Indoor Volleyball

Carbon Fiber Volleyball Uprights Are:

  • Stronger than steel
  • Lighter than aluminum

Carbon Fiber Volleyball Uprights Offer:

  • Unequaled Safety
  • Unequaled Convenience
  • Unequaled Quality

The name is new but the management team at Kalbree Sports has over twenty years of experience designing indoor volleyball equipment, including innovative carbon fiber uprights and patented volleyball nets. For years we have heard coaches, players, and gymnasium staff members complain that steel posts are too heavy and aluminum net systems bend too much. The solution - the world’s first volleyball standards made from high-tech carbon fiber composite materials. Carbon fiber material was developed for use in the defense industry and is the strongest material known to man. Unlike metals, carbon fiber volleyball posts have no memory and do not weaken or fatigue when stressed. When properly designed, carbon fiber volleyball uprights are lighter than aluminum and offer the same strength, stiffness, and durability of steel.

Several years ago, Kalbree engineers developed the lightweight CarbonMax™ carbon fiber volleyball post system. Incredibly safe and easy to set-up, each carbon fiber upright incorporates several premium features:

  • an internal screw drive mechanism that offers perfect net height adjustments with the net attached
  • a 26:1 worm gear net tensioning winch with a Lifetime Warranty
  • fold-a-way net winch and adjustment handles are permanently attached to each pole
  • innovative upright design will adapt to new construction projects or retrofit any existing gymnasium without altering the integrity of the standard
  • computer wound, non-corrosive finish will not chip, peel or rust
  • space-age, Made-in the-USA carbon fiber manufacturing techniques insure a lifetime of safety and performance (Lifetime Warranty)

No other volleyball post system can match the unique and innovative features of the CarbonMax™ design.

Lady CarbonMax

In addition to the original CarbonMax™ volleyball system, Kalbree Sports has recently introduced the Lady CarbonMax™ - designed exclusively for a women’s volleyball program. Unbelievably lightweight at only 19 lbs, the rigid Lady CarbonMax™ volleyball uprights match the stiffness of steel systems that weigh three times as much. Each carbon fiber upright is specifically set at the 7’ 4 1/8” women’s height but can be fine tuned with an innovative adjustable foot that sets below the floor.

Although buying new volleyball post systems can be a very confusing project, we are certain that the CarbonMax™ and Lady CarbonMax™ uprights combine the best features of lightweight and strength, and offer players, coaches, and staff members the maximum in safety, convenience, and quality.

At Kalbree Sports our specialty is innovative volleyball equipment and problem solving. “Several years ago, I researched every volleyball system available before I chose CarbonMax. We had two full gyms of dangerous steel poles and I lived in fear every day that one of our kids would get hurt trying to set up one of those heavy uprights and I would be liable for it. This is the best idea I have seen in my 34 years as an athletic director. The kids set up all the systems and they love the lightweight uprights and the easy net adjustment. I love the completely safe net winch and our coach loves the great rebound off the net. We have an outstanding volleyball program and have hosted several state championship matches and the coaches and officials are amazed at how easy the system is to adjust to the correct height, even with the net attached.”
